Kay Beauty looks to Team Daniel Bauer Academy for launch campaign

Katrina Kaif, one of Bollywood’s topmost actors started her own makeup line called Kay Beauty. It’s not just makeup, it’s makeup with so much goodness for your skin. What really blew us away was her launch campaign called #itskaytobeyou. The messaging is so powerful! It talks about the importance of you being you and not giving in to societal norms as a woman. Any guesses about who handled makeup and hair like a pro? The Daniel Bauer Academy students like always…one major benefit of them joining the best makeup artist course.

What’s the best part? Daniel Bauer was the makeup artist for Katrina Kaif leading the project with 10 of our academy students. It’s so overwhelming, being on set working, on the coolest launch campaign with your mentor there to guide you. Woah. We had students from different batches and it was such an exhilarating experience for all of them to come together, share their knowledge, and work as a team with Daniel.

In the last 10 years, Kay Beauty has been the biggest makeup launch in India. Our students got to work with around 10 super beautiful models of our country, and it couldn’t have gotten any more interesting. This was a 3-day shoot with unlimited learning for sure. It’s true that the best learning happens on the job. This is exactly why Daniel Bauer Academy is the best makeup academy in India.

The team did a beautiful variety of dewy skin, smokey eyes, bold lips, glossy lips, and so much more. Daniel Bauer Academy students learned a lot on this 3-day shoot directed by Sergi Castella from New York and styled by none other than, Anaita Shroff Adajania, fashion director of Vogue. No idea how our students kept their calm while working with Daniel on a project. They were super thrilled! There’s definitely a lot that went into executing this shoot. From look designing, to multiple glamorous makeup looks for models, to having the shiniest smoothest waves on the hair, our students did it all.

Katrina Kaif’s Kay beauty launch in partnership with Nykaa is not only the biggest but the most badass beauty launch in India. It’s so empowering for our students to be part of such revolutionary brands and campaigns.
