Bombay Times Fashion Week 2022

Times Fashion Week hosted the biggest fashion show in Mumbai, and of course Daniel Bauer Academy had to be the makeup and hair team for it. It’s always the best makeup academy doing the best fashion shows of the country. Isn’t it?

So students of the Daniel Bauer Academy pulled off an entire fashion show by themselves and it was such a treat to watch them do their magic. Our students really make us cry happy tears sometimes. We had a huge team of around 40 plus students and it was like huge party of blood, sweat and lots of coffee.

There were about 25 designer shows during those 4 days and we kept serving looks after looks like the usual. It was such a pleasure to watch our students work with brilliant designers like Dolly J, Vikram Phadnavis, Kalki, Asra, Gopi Vaid and so many more.

Our team didn’t hold back when it comes to experimenting with makeup and hair looks. We did everything from chic buns, to bold black smokey eyes, to flawless no makeup makeup looks, glittered glossy eyelids, and everything in between.

Like we always say at the Daniel Bauer Academy, being a makeup and hair artist is not just about how good your makeup is, but also a lot of other factors. Most important being, speed – you can do the best makeup in the world, but imagine being slow on a job like this, its just not going to cut

it for you. This project is exactly what our students need while they are learning and becoming an artist of their dreams.

The backstage, greenroom drama is what makes our student an artist and we couldn’t be more happy for having provided such experiences to our students. We saw how tired, exhausted yet so excited Daniel Bauer Academy students were on the Bombay Times Fashion Week 2022 show. Seeing how they brave they were in embracing all different makeup and hair looks spontaneously was a very pleasant surprise for us.

When doing a fashion show, its also important to maintain the same looks on so many different models. This was so seamlessly done because our students really know how to follow the brief given to them. At the Daniel Bauer Academy, we pay a lot of emphasis on creating mood boards, and keeping in mind what industry you’re from before starting your research about something, and designing makeup and hair looks before doing any photoshoot. This rigorous procedure takes about a month or so and then you reach the day of your shoot at the academy. Well, we can proudly say that this worked in the favour of all our students, and they just outdid themselves at the Bombay Times Fashion Week 2022 by performing like legit runway makeup and hair artists.
